The Ingleby Farms company culture
Our values
At the core of our company ethos lie our values of Family, Innovation, Trustworthy, Hands-on and Sustainability. These values support our work, from cultivating the soil to nurturing relations.
We are a family of farmers. We place great importance on meaningful interpersonal relationships, appreciate valuable connections and give weight to collaborative and enriching relations.
Moreover, we place great emphasis on ensuring our stakeholders recognise us as a dependable, trustworthy partner committed to high standards. We operate with respect and comply with regulations. We deliver what we promise and on time. Our products are always of the highest standard.
Innovation means that we search out new ways of doing things. Regenerative farming is a relatively untested area, especially in a large-scale setting, which means in order to excel, we need to think outside the box to find solutions. We want to learn hands-on from our own production and trials; errors as well as successes are valuable lessons learned.
Our sustainable mindset is reflected in our actions as well as our relations. From caring about people and nature to the way we farm and run our business.

One Ingleby
The concept, One Ingleby, was created with the intent of sustaining a culture of exchanging experience across our many teams and countries. Together, we are able to inspire and cultivate best-practice sharing across our many farms and forests. One Ingleby emerged from the idea of shortening the distances between our diverse teams but also to establish a powerful network of individuals passionate about innovation and problem-solving.
This is facilitated through organising team-building events across various locations and giving our rising talents the opportunity to visit Ingleby farms in different countries, as well as explore other like-minded operations worldwide. These interactions strengthen our internal network and serve as a rich source of inspiration, leading to cross-pollination of ideas.
To connect our teams, we embrace various digital communication platforms. These tools bring our teams closer, irrespective of geographical boundaries. Ultimately, our shared values and our collective strength as One Ingleby are the driving forces on our journey to meet our 2030 commitments.
Ingleby Pioneers
To nurture best-practice sharing and cross-pollination of ideas between our 43 farms, we launched the Ingleby Pioneers programme.
The programme was created to bring our farms closer together, while creating a network amongst those who aspire to innovate and create change. Employees from both the production and the administration/finance departments are eligible as participants, and it is the country managers who nominate 1-2 candidates from their teams.
Each programme runs for two years, during which each pioneer will travel at least once annually to other Ingleby farms or forests. Pioneers are expected to visit 3-5 countries and at least 10 farms, with the intent to see farming from a different perspective.
In 2022, we launched the Pioneers programme. In 2023, we proudly introduced the second class of Pioneers. This time with 17 participants coming from different countries and working areas in Ingleby Farms.

People & Culture Manager - Henrik Jensen
"One Ingleby is a guiding philosophy for how we all work together. Not as “them” and “us” between departments or locations, but as one united team who reaches out and builds on each other’s efforts and results."
"When I go to the fields, I go there happy. I like it."
- Richard Ripol, Foreman of Doña Maria, Uruguay

Annual sponsorship to local primary school: covering cost of swimming lessons
Every year, Ingleby Queensland commits to fund the swimming lessons for pupils at the local primary school, covering the costs of bus travel and pool entry for every student.
Each year in Queensland, there is an average of 10 drownings involving children under the age of 5. Booyal School, a 105-year-old institution, has just 15 students, ranging from Prep to 6th grade. The school is almost encircled by our Macadamia farm in Queensland.
Given the school's small size, funding swimming lessons poses both a lifesaving necessity and a financial hurdle. The nearest community swimming pool is located in Gin Gin, the adjacent country town. Consequently, the school incurs expenses for both bus hire for student transportation and pool entry fees. Ingleby Queensland's ongoing support alleviates this financial burden, ensuring the continuation of these essential swimming lessons for the students.

San Ignacio farm, Argentina
Providing an enhanced learning environment through climate control donation
A rural school near San Ignacio farm, Argentina, attended by the children of our employees, received a donation of a hot and cold air conditioning unit from us. This contribution ensures a comfortable learning environment in a classroom that previously lacked a heating and cooling system, particularly during the intense weather conditions of winter and summer.
Annual Clean-up day clears areas around Paigiriai
Every year on Earth Day, the team in Lithuania organises a Clean-Up Day. The farm team is divided into groups to collect waste around the Ingleby fields and areas close to the farm. The collected items include plastic, glass, scrap metal, vehicle parts, and tyres, amounting to a total of 700 kg. This annual event not only promotes civic initiative and community spirit but also unites individuals in focusing on pollution and environmental issues.

Supporting Tormac football with field upgrades and new apparel
Ingleby Farms Romania sponsored the SC Club Sportiv Tormac football team. Our team actively participated in the maintenance tasks, aerating and fertilising turf, and ensuring the grass was neatly trimmed. This initiative turned the playing ground into a well-maintained space for the local football players. Additionally, the team received new clothing equipment, improving their appearance and representation the Tormac community. This sponsorship reflects of our ongoing community engagement, with a focus on supporting and fostering local unity.
Collaborations on plant and endangered species conservation and research in Peru
In the past year, our commitment to the conservation of native flora and endangered species has continued, as demonstrated through various initiatives. At our nursery we cultivate an average of 30,000 plants of diverse species annually. In 2023, our focus was notably on the critically endangered Goma de Canaquil tree (Parkinsonia peruviana). Collaborating with Huarango Nature, Global Trees Campaign (GTC), and Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), we managed to map and collect seeds of this valuable species. These seeds were nurtured in our nursery and, in partnership with the rural community of Marañon in the Peruvian region of La Libertad, replanted in their natural area.
Our conservation efforts extend beyond our immediate surroundings. At the Biotech North Fair 2023, organised by the University of Piura, we donated over 150 plant specimens of various species, including Chilco (Baccharis salicifolia) and Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), all in a conservational state. This contribution is set to enhance the biodiversity of the university’s conservation areas and facilitate ongoing research.
Furthermore, our support for the Chaparri Ecological Reserve in the Lambayeque region is a testament to our broader ecological commitment. A donation of 250 plants from our nursery, including meliferous species like the Wild Sunflower (Encelia canescens) and Mastrante blanco (Lantana haughtii), aims to enhance the conservation and reproduction of the Melipona bees. This initiative supports the pollination of native species.

Implementing Ingleby safety minutes videos
To increase awareness and ensure our teams are in line with safety procedures, we have introduced Ingleby Safety Minutes; short videos with instructions on a specific topic. Simple and relatable. The first videos have been produced and will be made available on our Health & Safety page on our intranet, additionally, they will be part of the onboarding of new employees, ensuring that everyone is informed about our zero-harm culture and how to reach out if in doubt or feeling unsafe.
The videos will focus on how to prevent accidents with machinery or equipment and fall or slip or trip accidents as these account for the majority of, and the most severe, accidents.
